The traditional lead-up event to the Tour de France, the Critérium du Dauphiné begins tonight (Australian time) with LIVE streaming coverage on SBS’s Cycling Central website – www.sbs.com.au/cyclingcentral. There will also be LIVE coverage of the race on Eurosport Australia.
The week-along event will see the top contenders for next month’s Tour de France, such as Chris Froome, Alberto Contador and Vincenzo Nibali, battle it out on the roads of France. It will be interesting to see how Chris Froome performs after Sky confirmed last week that 2012 Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins will not be in Sky’s team for the Tour de France, meaning the pressure is on Froome to perform.
